Paris Hilton has said not to get married in Vegas cause everyone of her friends that has has been divorced like real quickly. lol just a heads up. But if your planning on it it’s probably a little different. I think it will be one of the most exciting times for you. Especially with the guy of your dreams.
There’s some info posted here
vegas.com ?
Tacky and low class!.Do you live in a trailer park?
You can have a drive thru wedding, one at a wedding chapel, or at city hall. Either way you have to buy the license downtown at city hall.
Strip weddings = expensive. You can do some nice ones for not too much at Caesar’s Palace, MGM, Venetian (shocking, I know), Paris Las Vegas, and a few others I can’t think of. Bellagio will cost you an arm and a leg. Mirage doesn’t do weddings. Stratosphere weddings, eh. The Flamingo has a really nice garden but I am not sure of their prices.
I would avoid as much as possible any chapels on the north end of the Strip around downtown. Little Church of the West on the south end not too far from the Vegas sign is really nice. Oh! One good one I’ve heard about on the north end of the Strip is Little Chapel of the Flowers.
What are you looking for my friend?
I got married in Vegas in 1985. I was living in LA, Calif. My Family parents lived in Texas, Fl, NY and overseas, so it seemed impossible to have a traditional wedding. Plus we were both broke.
I borrowed a long white dress and we did the time share thing. We did the tours for the free 2 nights. A friend of ours whom was a travel agent sent us.. It cost $50 to pay for the wedding and another $50 for the marriage license.
The chapels are a dime a dozen on the strand. You can find cheap rooms too! But you would need $2-400 to really even do it cheaply.
It was much simpler then and all you needed was DL, blood test and birth certificate. I don’t know anymore. And an appointment.
You need your IDs and proceed to the court house to get your marriage license. No blood tests needed. Fill out the forms and get in line. Most of the time there is waiting in line for your turn. You will be issued your license and then you can go get married. You should reserve a chapel. Here is the world famous drive through wedding. Easiest and cheapest way to go.
it’s just quick and easy. i did it in like 5 minutes. it’s cool if you don’t want the hassle, the hoopla and all the expense of a lavish wedding. i wouldn’t have done it any other way
Yeh! I got married in Vegas, I am from Scotland and it was fab, got married in the Little White Wedding Chapel, had a really good time and laughed all day. You need birth certificates and you have to fill in some sort of form, go on to one of the wedding chapel websites and all the documentation you need and costs are there. I was married 3 years ago and am planning on going back to renew our vows, it is all really easy and hassle free to organise. only our 2 closest friends were there.
Well.. Most marriages in Vegas cost around twenty bucks. Just go down the strip and you’ll see tons of chapels. Just walk in one (or drive if its a drive through) give them the money and a they will wed you. Most have options available such as rabbi, priests, or just some guy with a certificate. Also, some rent out clothes- for additional fees. My parents got married in a drive through one, twenty bucks and they said they’re “I Do’s”. One window was a priest, and the other printed out they’re certificate.
What do you mean by “Stop Gap”. You can get married very easy and very quickly or you can spend your money and your time and go all out.
has a list of all the places you can get married, the licensing requirements, and links to Chapels, Ministers, Reception Halls, Wedding Planners, etc.
I married in Chapel of the Flowers, highly recomend it. Great service from all there. Try theknot.com in the Vegas section for lots of info.
